Ro's Recipes · Feed the Soul

Don't eat your feelings. Taste them.

Recipes with a story, a feeling and a page to write on. Cook slowly, notice what you're carrying, and let the meal mean something.

The idea

Most of us have eaten to make a feeling go away. This is the other way round.

Feed the Soul pairs every recipe with the feeling it holds: comfort, grief, celebration, home. Instead of eating fast to quiet something, you cook it, taste it and write about it.

The recipes come from Ro's kitchen, many of them Israeli family dishes passed down by hand and now written down for the first time.

How every recipe works

Four parts, one plate.

1

The recipe

Clear ingredients and steps, tested in a real home kitchen.

2

The story

Where the dish comes from and who used to make it.

3

The feeling

The emotion the dish carries, named out loud.

4

The reflection

A question and blank lines to write on while it cooks.
